SLB Signing Services - G/B/U?

Hello, and long time no post! :-)

I received an email confirmation from SLB Signing Services for a closing today. The only problem is, I never spoke to anyone, nor have I agreed to accept this assignment.

The email came from Tracie Keeter.

Is it normal practice for this SS to automatically send work without confirming? Any recent experiences with this SS.

I have done a couple of jobs for SLB but they called me first. I had no problem getting paid.

They're listing in Signing Central with 4 to 5 star ratings.

I had a situation with another SS that sent me a confirmation just like yours--no contact before receipt.

I contacted them and let them know I had not taken the job, and they determined they'd sent confirmation to wrong notary. The one who had agreed to job has the same first name, and we've since become associates, helping each other out.

So you may want to contact SLB to be sure they sent the confirmation to the right notary. Someone else may be waiting for confirm and docs.
