Strange Request

Received a call from an SS asking if I would be available for a signing, could not tell me what it was that needed to be signed, I would need to be available for a 3 hour window, for an area 40 minutes from me and the party would contact me when I was needed, all for $95.00.

So, in trying to figure out want was wanted, I confirmed with her that she wanted me to be available from 11-2, I could not take any other jobs during that time, and when they call me I would drive for 40 minutes and meet with the people to get something signed, but you don't know what, all for $95.00.

I asked if this was a loan modification application and she stated she did not know. Yeah right.

I had a request like that about 2 weeks ago. It was supposedly POA work. They wanted me to hang around the area from 10am-2pm; all for $100 for 4 appts. I told 'em "NOPE". I have better things to do than 'sit' for 4 hours.

I can see this being a settlement company

Such as the Wentworth variety. Notary are harder than hen's teeth to find to get to do these.
