Trouble obtaining docs

I have been having a real problem getting docs. Currently my signing is at 7:00 pst and it is not 7:10. I have been on the phone with the signing agent for the last three hours and they keep saying they are going to be downloaded, but not so far. I have talked to the borrower and trying to set up an appointnment for tomorrow (probably date sen docs). Sorry just need to let off steam.

This is where you should inform the borrower that you don't know when the signing will occur. The borrower will put pressure on the loan officer.

Happening lots. Agree with Todd, see if borrowers can

rattle some chains through their LO, and I rattle chains on my end - although if scheduling doesn't permit, I contact hiring entity and advise they reschedule from their end. Lots of "ends". <GRRin>

I have that problem all the time as well. Let me give you this one. Last night I was contacted at 6:48PM, I was asked to do a closing at 8:00pm at a location that is approximately 1 hr away(whr I live this is not uncommon).

I happened to be headed that way and had laptop and all tools with me to do a closing so I agreed. I had to go to a location to find wireless signal to receive the docs and print them. I immediately dumped my kids on my daughter and off I went!!

I waited at the public library using their wireless connection, until security asked me to please leave the parking lot as they were closed. I called and called and never received an answer, only to find out this morning that "O someone else had already booked that closing!" I stated that was very unprofessional and their agent had made an agreement with me, the lady said "DID YOU NOT HEAR ME? SOMEONE ELSE DID THAT CLOSING" .

OK I kept my end of the bargain what about them???? What about my wasted time? U feel I should bill them for at least a partial if not all the fee!!

It's the most frustrating part of EOM. I had docs for my two middle signings yesterday, but not for the first & last. Unfortunately, the one that was originally set for 4:30 finally got done at 10:30. Not making excuses for them, but it goes with the territory. I try to keep it in perspective. The tc may have several hundreds of loans to get out as well as the lender. I can't imagine what it is like from their side of things.
