A money saving toner tip

Some of you may know this already but... to stretch your toner cartridges in your laser- do this. When the light comes on that I'm out of toner - its my cue to get out the black electrical tape and cut out small squares and tape over circular parts.

So when you pull out the cartridge go to the sides- left and right and you will see "windows" well anything like a small circle. These are supposedly the sensors that tell the printer toner is low. Well i've learned that there is a significant amount of toner left at this point so it can still go on to make great copies when you fool it by putting the black tape over these areas. It really works! Just keep an eye on how your docs look.

Why it is not always a good idea to link to your profile

The web is like Vegas: once on the internet, always on the internet.

If you post something on notrot and link it to your profile, then people who google your name can easily find and read all your linked posts here.

That's why flamers are reeeeally shooting themselves in the foot when they flame and link simultaneously.

Link and flame a major national TC and kiss work from that company good bye.
Link and flame a person here and the posts just makes the poster girl look bad.

Yes, that was a little joke. I have the flu.

Re: Why it is not always a good idea to link to your profile

Forgive my limited understanding, but thought the much used advertising, and or ‘slogan’ about ‘What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas” (paraphrase) Inferred privacy, or confidentiality? Just the opposite of posting on the internet for all to see forever? But then again what do I know? I actually link to my posts.
Sorry about the cold, maybe some “tea” with honey…. brewed with what you’ve been smoking would help?

<<<Link and flame a major national TC and kiss work from that company good bye.>>>

Since typically the deadbeat/PITA companies are flamed, kissing work goodbye from them is no love lost.

I've tried this & it works. I can print maybe 4 or 5 more packages w/the tape on.

When the warning light comes on I order more toner and continue printing, when the toner cartridge is empty I put in the new one.
Same ending different route?

Re: what type of printer are you talking about?

This is about Brother printers. When the light comes on it won't allow you to continue to print.
W/HP I could take the cartridge out, shake it, and continue w/o any problems. With Brother, you have to trick the mechanism. IME there is still a lot of toner in the cartridge.
