Anyone in NC working for CSS?

Just wondering who was taking the lowball offers? Convenient Settlement Services were a good company but now are doing 50.00 + 25.00 for edocs. They use to offer higher but then wanted me to go further for the same amount. Just asked me to do one for 75.00 total.

I haven't worked for them in years - they just don't pay enough.

Just say NO! $75 is not enough to cover contacting the borrower, printing costs, paper, reprints, traveling, traffic, doing the signing, traveling, notarizing, checking the docs, and then shipping the docs.....i really believe it's about a 2 hour gig......

Do you guys realize that some people out there make $75 for an entire day's worth of work?? One of these days common sense will kick in and some people will realize that with overhead costs of less than $10 (ink and paper for printing 2 packages) and time of less than 2 hours of work is a deal for that rate? I'd like to see someone argue that when I have been doing this for over 10 years now and have done every aspect of a loan signing; trust me when I say that overhead and time for travel within 25 miles is worth it! Come on now, for $25 an hour for this type of work...we are not Engineers here. Look for companies that pay their closers because some of the ones that pay the higher fees go out of business quite often and then you are stuck with unpaid work. We need to be less greedy & more appreciative and thankful for the work that comes our way.

You must work for them or you wouldn't be answering this question that way. You are working for a company that pays low and that is fine if you've been doing this for 10 years. When times are slow you probably take the 50.00 ones too. I've found those are the most unorganized companies and demand fax backs and run you ragged. I have good companies that pay the right amount and I do great! Don't need the low ballers!! You must if you need to do the low pay companies. Sounds like your business must not be doing so good.

Re: CSS - Convenient Settlement Services? Too much hassle!!

I have worked for CSS for atleast 5 years however, they have not contacted me in several months. They do not pay the best but are great to work for and they do pay. If they pay $75.00 and you have nothing else to do why not take the closing and make the money?
