Ashley F. Documents - non paying deadbeat company

Has anyone ever heard of them before? Iris Pelayo is their appointment setter. I was scheduled to do a loan modification for them in early August. I printed the docs (about 40 pgs) and drove 45 minutes to the borrower who refused to sign anything. I have not been able to contact them since. Email address is bad, phone # I have for them is disconnected. They are in Rancho Cucamonga, Cal.

This may be another name for 21st Century

I think they had an "Iris" making calls to try and book notaries for "loan mod signings."

Hmmmm. I will have dig out my old 21st Century files and cross reference the #'s and addresses. That is interesting. If I can remember correctly, 21st Century filed bk and owed me some money at the time. Seems to have happened quite a bit last year. I really wish we could be paid directly from the settlement statement.

Thanks for the info.

The "Loan Modifications" that is. Whenever I get one of these calls I always ask "Is this an application or a modification?". If they are evasive about their answer I tell them to go ahead and send the documentation and I will let them know. If it turns out to be an application with up-front fees (usually $3500) then I turn down the job and forward the package to the State Attorney General.

Best way to do it, Gary. Totally agree!

The actual loan mod signings are great. Applications for loan mods, not from a bank, are "usually" a fraud. There may actually be some legit companies out there, but no way of knowing so I avoid them all on loan mod apps.

Yep...sounds like you got "took" Mike..

sorry to hear that - and you may not be able to cross-reference the phone numbers - they've taken to having their schedulers use their cell phones to line up notaries and the cell phones don't trace back to the company.

Hadn't heard they'd filed bankruptcy - very interesting.
