Back Dating-Interesting problem
On 9/25 I received notice that documents were email to me. After they are printed, I receive another call from TC telling me docs were just sent. I informed them that I had already received and printed docs. She said "oh ok. thks" hung up. I had no reason to think it was anything but a courtesy call to inform me that docs had been emailed. She did not mention revisions or 2d pkg or anything like that. Conducted closing. Docs passed QC. Get a call from TC today saying "we sent you revised docs on 9/25. You closed the wrong set of docs." I explained that I was never informed that the package had been revised. TC says we'll pay you to go back and resign with revised pkg however everything (incl notarizations) have to be dated 9/25. My response - no way. Thoughts?

Your response is correct--no way. A new set of docs needs to be signed with the current date.

Backdating? No way, no how, nowhere! ;-)
My state, North Carolina, looks VERY dimly on such practices. Just tell 'em it's against the law, period.
