CSS
Just got home and found an e-mail from them asking my availability for a signing Monday 6:30 pm - approx 45 miles away - single refi - $50 + $25 e-doc fee - total $75....responded with my fee for a standard refi in that area - answer: thanks, it's been filled...
What a pitiful shame they found someone for that paltry fee. jeez.

Okay..was going to link but it's not in SC
I can't add it and I can't see it there..
This is Convenient Settlement Services in Cornelius, NC...have written to NotRot asking them to clarify, add or re-code the company. Will link it as soon as I can see it.

Just a quick FYI for everyone...
NotRot responded - apparently the company has an individual notary listing so right now company can't be added - they're going to try to rectify it so we can list and link.

Correction - CSS has THREE listings and NotRot still hasn't
done anything about it.

Re: Guess those gals are testing the lowball waters.
Do you guys realize that some people out there make $75 for an entire day's worth of work?? One of these days common sense will kick in and some people will realize that with overhead costs of less than $10 (ink and paper for printing 2 packages) and time of less than 2 hours of work is a deal for that rate? I'd like to see someone argue that when I have been doing this for over 10 years now and have done every aspect of a loan signing; trust me when I say that overhead and time for travel within 25 miles is worth it! Come on now, for $25 an hour for this type of work...we are not Engineers here. Look for companies that pay their closers because some of the ones that pay the higher fees go out of business quite often and then you are stuck with unpaid work. We need to be less greedy & more appreciative and thankful for the work that comes our way.

Cristy, you need to do a cost analysis and do the math
properly - $75 for a signing, all inclusive, does not NET the notary $25/hour - far from it... and if you think it does, and that's what you think YOU are netting in your business ("net" being your "profit") then you are sadly mistaken - you may have been doing this for 10 years but if that's been your thinking for 10 years then it is seriously flawed.
