Carrington Title of IL
Any new word on them? Still not listed in Signing Central. Did one for them last week. Assured me they pay after disbursements, 14 days max. Doing another today. They want to schedule more next week.

IMO there are too many tc's to list every one in Signing Central. FWIW I have never had a problem working with a tc directly. It's usually the ss that we have problems with. I might suggest that you check with the tc about their policy of payment if the loan doesn't fund. Some don't pay unless the loan funds. IMO it's still worth the risk. I would rather work directly with a tc any day & every day!!!!

I do several signings for Pacific Document Services (yes, I know they pay late, have bounced checked, then reissue a cashier's check) who are contracted for Loan Mods for Carrington...Atlantic and Pacific ....
I routinely do these signing for $50, but it requires only 1 notary stamp.....i include ID verification because I like that to include with return docs....and it takes about 5 minutes. Usually their assignments are within my immediate area, and they pay $50.....they will go a little above that for extended travel (which they did last week).
Please know, payment is extended.........really, really late, but payment is made. I take continue to loans from Paul and company.

$50 r u nuts! Your acceptance of these ridiculous fees are
whats killing our profession! I don't care if there are NO notarizations. $50 bucks is just not worth the trip, toner, paper, time, thought....totally OUTRAGEOUS!

Yes but that's why I was asking. It's only one complaint and their business rating is good. I have more faith in title co's too but have had to fight/wait for paym't from a few.
