Re: Finiti-any info please - me too

FASS sent me a few assignments that Finiti Title had processed. Its possible they are getting rid of the middle-man. Can you blame them!

Re: Finiti-any info please - me too

Getting rid of the middle man means the notary can be paid a decent amount and do the job without compromising on a price. We routinely see $175-$200 on the HUD, but most of the time, we are paid $90-$125. I'd rather title/escrow use NR and call us directly. More money in our pockets.

I'd rather work directly with a tc anyday. It is so much less hassle. Unfortunately, many tc's don't have the manpower to make all the calls to schedule notaries--sigh.

I agree about working with TC, I disagree about the manpower

The escrow officers that have the refi or sale escrows, should schedule their own closings, either in office or via outside notary. This is not a job that needs to be passed on to a 3rd party. Especially nowadays, not all title companies are swamped with work...sure some escrow offices are busy, but this is part of THEIR responsibility, If only the consumer realized, they are paying for the benefit/convenience of the escrow officer's daily workload, and at the same time, putting their private information at risk, as it is being given to unregulated signing service employees/owners,etc. It is not uncommon for loan docs to come via a SS, who got them from escrow. The public has no idea!
