GGRrrrrrrrrrr
Have I mentioned how much I dislike my notaries being blamed for loans that don't close!! You got a loan...wife is not happy...is angry with the husband for putting the loan together with LO and not keeping her in the loop...agent saves loan...wife signs...husband calls today to cancel and badabing...notary is blamed...lol.

So sorry to hear that, since we are the only ones they see it's nothing unusual.

Is it the husband blaming the notary or the LO blaming the notary Chelley?
It is sad to blame the notary but I know how that goes. I had a couple for same TC two days in a row (different BO's, one of which was pleased as punch) that rescinded and the lender tried to convince the TC that it was me, thank God the TC backed me and my work up.
I guess it can happen, but it would be really stupid of me or any other notary to try and convince someone to cancel, it only makes us frowned upon and usually we would be lucky to get half the fee or anything for our effort, so I do not understand lenders trying to blame the closer.
PS Chelley; thanks for your email response, we all have times that we forget where our hearts and minds are supposed to be. Hope that things are better with your family and your life. Did you close on your dream home?

I did close on my home...yes...God is really blessing me...thank you so much for asking. We have been working on it every day and we plan on moving into it the first of the month. You know it is always my beautiful notary friends who make me feel so loved...thank you for asking. As for the closing...it was the LO...he said the borrower was a friend and that my notary made him look like an idiot to his friend. I trust this notary 110%...I believe in my heart it was just a deal that went south and they needed someone to blame. I know it is hard for me to take the heat and swallow it when I know in my heart there was no wrong doing on the notary's end. I am sure there are some notaries that would offer opinions but this notary is a class act...they know their job...and has always proven it time and again. My Bosses both backed the notary and me...how awesome is that??

That is excellent Chelley. We need more employers like you and your bosses.
If the borrower was his friend then he would not have canceled unless it was a bad loan. I would never let an outsider make me think a friend of mine was an idiot unless of course the shoe fit.

good point
Jim...you are so right...man, I never thought of that! Wow...you are right...I would have thrown the person out of my house and not completed the signing with them if they said that about my friend...in fact...I probably would have made my dog (if I had one) bite them on the way out...lol!

Thanks for the word of support, Chelley. If every company was like you we'd be happy campers. The sad truth is that the brokers & LO's make the money, and the notary is the fall guy. It's always been said, "sh$t rolls down hill".

I may be at the bottom of that hill sometimes, but I have
God, family and NotRot by my side to help me be the mountain climber they want and the one I deserve to be.
They can try to knock us down, but only we can let them succeed by accepting or thinking it.
