Got a FASS Quality Issue Notice today LOL
It was for not contacting the borrower within 24 hours from getting the assignment. However, I was the one that changed the signing date from the 15th to the 14th as the borrower is leaving town the morning of the 15th for 20 days. I even got a second email saying that the second signing call had gotten logged after I called him again. Guess they'll straighten it out Monday.
Hope everyone's having a great weekend!

McDonalds to commemerize Michael with the Mc Jackson burger
a fifty year old pieces of meat between two twelve year old buns.
Bad humor.

I got one a couple of weeks ago also . . I called the BO at 25 hours. My bad. But the signing was scheduled for 5 days later. Makes no sense. Ah, well, I never liked gloves anyway. And FASS does not seem to be checking for notaries closer to the areas of signing. The past 3 calls I've gotten from them, the signings were 60-100 miles away from me . . for FASS, I won't go beyond 30 miles because they just don't like paying that extra mileage fee. And I KNOW there are SA's in those areas if they'd just take the time to check it out.

I called the borrower within an hour of the assignment. Didn't hook up with him until later, as he was out of town, but rescheduled it from the 15th to the 14th. Another person gave me a call to assign it to me for the 14th, as if it was a totally new booking and they didn't know I was the one that changed it. When I got the new confirmation I called the borrowers to let him know that the 14th was fine, and let them know. Emailed FASS that I had AGAIN confirmed with the borrower, and got an email saying it had been logged. I'm sure they'll give me my white glove back so I can do a thriller dance. LOL

That's a great example of just how ridiculous their policy is.
I had something like that happen to me a several years ago, but I don't remember the specifics. (I've only worked for them when they were desperate - usually needing a Spanish speaking notary - and willing to meet my fee.) I vaguely recall there being some problem with the documents, something totally out of my control. At that time I hadn't done enough signings for them to "qualify" to get log-on info (which bothered me not at all because of their normal fee schedule).
A year or so later, I was finally issued a password. I logged on to double check my profile and found out that I had been given a ding for the problem I had had nothing to do with. Apparently, I was supposed to respond within 30 days if I had a disagreement with their assessment, but I was never notified and had no way to find out about it, or I certainly would have.
It kinda reminded me of those automated attendant phone systems, where the person who designed it assumes that the company can do no wrong, so there's no option given that fits when that happens.

I know what you mean. I stop doing the Spanish thing. Not worth it, they don't pay enought and you spend more than they usual 35 minutes at the closing. The last Spanish speaking closing I did took well over 3 hours had more than to borrowers on a refinance mainly 5. This is what broke me. For now on I ask if it is a regular refinance and how many borrowers are there on the docs, it more than two then the need to increase my fee at least $10 per person and if other issues should come forth then either they increase my fee at the table or I walk. I usually get an increase with confirmation. I take my laptop to assure that that confirmation comes across. All these messed up docs and needing to confirm. These ss need to be the ones checking these docs before we even get them.

How true. I used to work with FASS several years ago on a very regular basis, but that has changed. Ever since they went into this "baby-sitting" mode their attitude and business sense has fallen through the floor, not to mention their fee schedule. They can do no wrong and the notary is always wrong.
My last experience with them was a few months ago. I had jumped through all their hoops and then some. End result is that title didn't get the docs out and totally dropped the ball on a closing. I had email, logged names and times to back me up but FASS took their side and blamed me.
As a business owner myself, I do NOT need their business bad enough to be treated like an absolute child and novice. In their case the old saying of "Take this job and shove it" aply applies.

TRG_wy : completely agree!!! FASS does not even come
close to meeting my "white glove" quality standards of companies that I CHOOSE to do business with. I am the one calling the shots for how I run my business; not the other way around. Anyway, someone in my area is a low baller and works for nothing for them. The juice just ain't worth the squeeze.

Maybe not, but since I was the one that rescheduled it with the borrower and have an email from them that the second time it was assigned to me that the call was logged, they SHOULD correct it. If not, no biggie. I hate doing a closing at 2:00 on a Sunday afternoon. Just messes up the whole day. Won't get back from the ranch until after dark now. Gotta run. Almost closing time. Have a super rest of the day.
