It is moderate here in Maryland, however, we are here fighting State and Federal legislature to have the notary line item 1106 to stand on its own since we notaries are the new kids on the HUD and to be paid at disbursement, when will however cut out the middle man which are the signing companies, we are fighting to get work direct from the title companies. It is working here, we notaries are slowly getting calls from the title companies. So I would suggest you solicit the title companies instead. In Maryland if the out of town companies are not listed in the Maryland Insurance Administration Producer firm Nonresident list, then they are basically banded from soliciting notaries here. We notaries are not just fighting for us locally, but nationally. The Mobile Notaries Group, challegened the Senate and the State thus far and since the notaries do not handled TRUST MONIES, the restriction of the notaries having all other credentials may be lifted since Senator Kelly stated she now understand the mobile notaries position, then they would have to make some adjustement for us. Keep your prayers in, because a new day is coming where the Title Companies would have to contact you direct and you will be paid at Disbursement.
