I know EOM can be crazy but....

I had a last minute closing tonight because another notary no-showed. Edocs came as several attachments all with the borrower's last name.

Since they came after the original appointment time, I hit print and ran out the door.

Boy, was I ever surprised to get to the signing table and find in with the funding approval for the bank the funding approval for nearly a dozen other families' loans!! Oh snap!

Has anyone ever had anything else like this happen? I grabbed the docs out of the copy folder and the original folder for the shredder, but wow, how embarassing, and how unnerving that a bank would be so loose with the docs (these were the bank's docs).

I tell ya, as a consumer of financial services, a coffee can buried in the backyard is looking better all the time.

Yowzers.

Happy EOM to all,
JW in WA

Not quite to that extreme, but I have found the stray document in a package from time to time - usually when I've picked up a package from a title company office. Probably page(s) left on the copy machine. That's when you find out how quick your sleight of hand is when you wisk it off the table and into your case for the shredder, as you said. Wink
