Deeds of Conveyance only (Warranty, Quit Claim, etc.) - two witness, one can be the notary (if allowed in your state)...no witnesses required on mortgage.

Re: Is Florida a witness state? NO and YES

Florida does not require witnesses on MORTGAGES, however 2 witnesses (one can be the notary) IS REQUIRED for DEEDS that convey property ownership.

For a complete list of state witness requirements, see http://www.pawnotary.com/kb/2-4.html
