I had one the other week that when I arrived I was told by a very irritated borrower that they had cancelled. I WILL NOT go on any more appts. I can't confirm. It was a VA & I had allocated an appropriate amount of time & turned away other signings.

Don't see how that affects what we need to do - we shouldn't be discussing fees on the phone anyway - but at least we can find out exactly where we're going and know in advance if we're facing issues at the table...

And as I've stated previously - I can't play this game - we're too rural and I'm not driving 45-60 minutes to find out I'm not welcome or no one is home.....every time I've been told that I've called the contact number at the lender and been given a number and permission to speak with the signers in advance...

I just did a closing for them. As a new NSA not contacting the customer was not a problem for me. The signing went well and best of all I got PAID in 2 weeks. I will work for them again.

You must be in a large city. Remember most of TX is rural and driving to the Br can cost time and $$$.
Also I remember CountryWide had a division who di this, It was the "sub-sub-sub loans" that has cause a lot of this mess we are in now.
I'm just nosey, what did the property look like? Was it a "badly keep up" mobile home?
And where in Tx are you?

I wonder what NVS is getting per file? They stopped calling me because I charge them $125 in my county, which I think is very reasonable for their large packages and their no-call requirement. However, they only want to pay $100 or less, so they rarely call me any more.
