Newby on the block.
Good afternoon. I have just signed up with Notary Rotary and was not aware of this service. I was just reviewing a few posted and saw initials like SS,TC. What do those stand for and do you offer an advice or pitfalls that I should be aware of. Any replies will be greatly appreciated in my success with this new line of work. Thank you.

TC = Title Company
SS = Signing Service, a middleman who is hired by the TC to find a notary for their closing
Use the orange search button on the Notary Talk page and search for message 33325 and you will learn a lot.

Welcome Dana!
Take your shoes off, get comfortable and stay awhile. I'm not sure what state you are in. I'm in Alabama. If I can answer any questions for you let me know. The person who suggested the thread #33325 (I think that's it) gave you excellent advice. It took me awhile to figure out how to "search" on this site. Don't be afraid to ask how to use the orange button.

Welcome & good luck, Dana. NC is a tough state. The attorneys keep trying to get it back to an "attorney only" state.
