Oh the irony...

I've been a signing agent for 4 years, and still find it crazy how my phone will be eerily quite for weeks, yet I will 3-4 calls all in one morning on some random day that's not even close to end of month...and of course two will just happen to be on the same day, same time. When it rains, it pours! It is also ironic that the only 5 minutes of my day where my phone isn't within arms reach I miss calls for signings. Today that happened while I was washing my dog, for 5 minutes I did not have my cell. It kills me!! Anyone else have this luck?

Sure, from time to time! We're basically on-call 24 hours per day. Thankfully, most of the calls come within perhaps a 12 to 15 hour section of the day/night. I've done only two signings this week, a bit slow. For next week, I have two scheduled back-to-back, Monday afternoon/evening, 20 miles apart, and one is only 1.5 miles from home. I've lost count, but yesterday and today, I had to decline either 5 or 6 signings for that same time period! Some were as far as 80 mies apart. Still don't have others for the rest of the week. This time, it appears I'm getting the best of the bunch, as far as location is concerned. It helps to love variety in our work, for that's one thing we'll certainly have.

Welcome to my world. It's been so slow this month that I decided to take a long weekend. You know, take time to get away, enjoy the autumn colors, visit family, etc. Beginning the morning before I left, but after plans had been made, my phone started ringing, wanting me for the next day, or the day after. I even got a couple of calls over the weekend. I probably couldn't have done them all, but it sure would have been nice to take some of them! Then as soon as I return.....silence again. I figure it's part of Murphy's Law.

I worked for the census bureau for two weeks last month, my phone rang constantly for closings. The week the job was over, I had about two calls...

absolutely! everytime my phone is silent for days...I will purposely take it off my hip and walk out of the room so I can't hear it...just to make sure people still call me for signings....sure enough! works everytime!

Only signing next week is for 5 pm on Mon.
Got three calls today for 5 pm on Mon. All from different companies. None close to the other, they pretty well covered the compass.
God forbid that you set your cell phone down for a minute and wander off after clutching to your bosom for two days---that's when they call and then fill the order 30 seconds before you call back.
Do they make one of those "Life Is Good " T-shirts for NSAs? Whatever does it say?

I love to get housework done on my slow days, but am a nervous wreck to run the vacuum. I have missed more calls not to mention while I am in the landry room with the dryer running.

I thought I was the only one...last week I was swamped!

At the height of my bronchitis illness last week (on my b-day) I got call after call after call - all that week. It was amazing! So refreshing to be wanted....he he. It was a bitter sweet week to say the least...and it happened right on time. Still pretty busy this week and next as well. Nice EOM. Makes up for the dredgful summer I had where for two months straight, NOTHING.
