Pacific Document Services (PDS) check finally received.

Re: Pacific Document Services, Inc, Brentwood, CA

Signing on 7/15, check printed with the date of 8/15, actually received in mail on 10/15. That's a total of THREE months from the date of service.

Next question: is the check any good, or will I have to wait for a replacement sometime in the future because PDS "wasn't paid on time" by their customer? Then again, even a bad check from PDS is better than a receivable on the books because at least it will be easier to collect on in court along with the bad check penalty provided by law.

I'll post the actual results in SC.

LOL Wow a check from July Now you just have to hope it doesn't make like a kanagroo and bounce.

This jerk still gets people to work for him. Kind of makes you scratch your head and wonder. Disgusting company!

YEA!!

Maybe I'm next!! Got an email from Paul this week that said my check was sent out in the mail that day.

I'm sure MY check isn't going to take two months to get here. I'm sure that when I check the mail this evening, Paul's check is going to be right there right next to the power bill. Or the need a new propane pressure valve estimate...or next to the I need a new printer HP catalog...

sigh

The good news is...

at least since I was able to deposit it into the same bank that it was drawn on, so if it's going to bounce I won't find out weeks later. Under "Check 21" I should know quickly if I have been the subject to one of PDS's "accidental errors".

Maybe they finally got the message.

I had a call from them yesterday. Questioned if it was PG. I declined & said it was because of their poor payment history. The gal hung up on me. Push come to shove, when they can't get anyone to take the work they will have to clean up their act, right???

What difference does it make?

When you contract with a signing service, title company, broker or lender, it doesn't make any difference what state their receivables are in. Your only concern is they owe you. I'm sure the mortgage company, electric company, water company, etc. could care less whether or not I have been paid. They want their money. I have to manage my payables to meet my bills. The same with PDS or any other company. They need to manage their payables and have enough capital to be in business and pay the signing agents they hire. Knowing that they can't meet their "payroll" when they hire an agent, may be considered fraud.

I hate checks with a stale date on them.

My bank is really funny about taking checks which are aged.
