So much for my 6:00 closing...

Was waiting on the HUD and title just let me know that it won't be going today because the borrowers are getting funds back and the docs have to be redone. I had other stuff to do so wasn't just sitting around waiting on it.

Can't get on the FASS web site to update it. "Complete" won't load. Oh well, I emailed them. That'll have to do. Probably have another white glove issue to straighten out. LOL

Have a great evening!

Luckily that's not a problem here, but can appreciate it.

Went to Dallas again last Friday and traffic sucked on the way up and on the way back when I got to Dallas...actually around Grapevine on the way there. Wrecks and construction both ways. Took an extra hour both ways than usual. Don't know how you folks put up with it. My hat's off to you. I don't think I could take enough antacid to live with it. LOL

I feel for you John. Had one today that was going like a charm . . docs sent 3 hrs early, mid-way through printing TC says hold off printing, possible new docs coming. All stop. Signing was for 4pm. After 2 calls to TC, they finally call me back at 5. . go ahead, no new docs after all. Grrrrrr. Finished printing and made it to table at 5:30. Thankful that after all that fiasco, it was with a wonderful couple and we had a very pleasant signing experience. I wonder . . does anyone actually have the white glove with FASS?

So far I have it. They dirtied it the other day but then they washed it with Clorox so it's white again. LOL

I had the white glove status for a over a year..had one small issue and they removed me for 6 months. Yes that's right, 6 months. When I tried to dispute this via email (you're only suppose to do it on the website), they removed me completely. Since I live in a highly populated area, fass only uses preferred, white glove status notaries, so their phone calls came to a complete halt. After 2 years of consistant work, and over 500 signings. Unbelievable huh? I'm still blown away by this one, after all my years as a signing agent and realtor, I have never been treated like this..

It's not what all you've done in the past that counts! Frown

I had the same kind of experience. After many years of service with them, they suspended me saying they had sent me a notice of such, after several error notices. I had only one error "warning", no actual error notices or suspension notice. As a matter of fact after date they claimed for suspending me, I had calls to do closings for them (had to turn down, as I was out of town). One person I talked to even mentioned errors I had made "in Texas". I am a Notary in Michigan! When I tried to disbute all of this as an error, they refused any further review and said I would be terminated if I continued to complain. Since they were one of my main closing sources, I tried to register again after suspension, but they refused, saying that because of slow business they were not adding any notaries.

I had 1 issue with them because a borrower was not returning

calls so that I could confirm. I was not able to confirm the signing time with in the 24 hr time frame so they called it my error. I would have argued but it did not effect my status since it was just 1 error, you have to maintain 95% error free to keep "white glove status".

Leaving a message is confirming the appointment

You may want to talk to them personally before you consider it confirmed on your end, but for SS reporting purposes, leaving a message counts IMO.

Re: I had 1 issue with them because a borrower was not returning

I always write to Fass1 and let them know when I've called and left a voice mail or spoken to someone other than the borrower at the number they gave me. They then log it in as confirmed, and email me telling me "it's been logged as confirmed." I then update it when I actually speak to the borrower, write them again and get an email back saying that has also been logged. Works for me.

This sounds more like employer mentality and treatment rather than Contractor/Subcontractor or Contractor to Independent Contractor. "suspended me" ... "terminate me"... "refused any further review"..... all employER mentality....

Independent Contractors/Self-Employed Business People really work and accept being treated like this???

Apparently some of them do. After reading about FASS and all their white glove, jumping through hoops BS, I am shocked that any signing agent with more than 6 months experience would bother with them unless their fees were QUITE generous. And we all know that sure ain't the case.

Re: Fass website

If you don't fill in a completion report for a signing on the
FASS website, someone from an overseas call center calls you the next day to see if the signing was completed the previous day.

Love that pix, Brenda. Yes, I remember back in the day when we wore dresses, hats & gloves.
I'm kind of glad we ditched all that for jeans and a t-shirt.
