Social Media Marketing

We've discussed social media marketing on this site a number of times and I for one have been looking at this as a system with tremendous potential b ut I have been unsure of how to best utilizeit. Recently i cam across this article and I wanted to share it because I believ that it has some valuab le marketing ideas that may work.

I do not use any of the commercial services sold here so it is neither an attemtp to solicit nor an endorsement of the products, make up your own minds and use at your risk. I do glean information from a variety of sources and I try to share what I find to be useful. Enjoy!

Good advice there!

Too many people attempt to market by using Twitter to send buy-from-me Tweets several times daily. People block such Twitterers quickly. It has been said that the ratio of non-advertising Tweets to sales Tweets should be ~9 to 1.

FaceBook is ideal for putting real content (with pictures) up on your Wall or your Friends' Walls. Too much advertising and you'll be un-Friended. Interesting content will get your more Friends.

MySpace is for children.

LinkedIn is for professionals and should have only truly professional content, not spam marketing.
