Stamp Ink Color for Maricopa County (Metro Phoenix Area)

I was just emailed by a local signing service that Maricopa County Recorder will only accept a stamp with black ink.
Good thing I didn't buy my purple one yet! LOL!

I have one in purple, too.. it's a round one, so it tends to throw people off because in CA most people just expect the black rectangle these days. I use the black one (the Brother Elite) for all loan docs, but in other situations, I may use one or the other. I do it as a security measure, actually... and after I've left, I note in my journal which seal was used.

Other times, I find that people really like the purple one because it looks more regal and official. It's actually a lower quality stamp, but it still works great. Some people are just really old-school and they like the round seal because it apparently looks more official. LOL

The round one also comes in VERY handy when there isn't enough room for the wider rectangular seal.

I have a 2nd one that is a round one also but it's the size of the old embossing type seal I used to use years ago. Sometimes there's not enough room for it on some docs so I usually use the smaller, rectangle one.

Saw a deed in lieu of foreclosure the other day that came in with a dark green rectangular seal.

Boy, they would have a problem if docs were notarized in Utah. Utah requires the notary seal to be PURPLE ink.

Too bad they have no imagination or sense of humor.

I would love a round purple stamp.

Only problem is that in AZ we can have only one stamp at a time! In CA I always had 2 in case one broke during a signing. However, I can have it made up anywhere (unlike CA).

Re: I would love a round purple stamp.

How about using purple on your business cards?
