Teherberry

Has anybody used teherberry to do esigning. I check no pervious topic on Teherberry. See below a testamony on their web-site

Thank-you

One of the biggest reasons I like TetherBerry is it helped my cut communication costs for my daughter. I was paying $60 a month for a wireless card on her laptop and TetherBerry not only took the place of the wireless card, thus saving me money but the download speeds were much better.

TetherBerry also provides me with an outstanding connection whether I'm on the road or at the office and since it's a part of my Blackberry it's with me everywhere I go.

And finally it works as advertised. So many programs make promises but sadly only a few really deliver and TetherBerry has definitely delivered. Thanks TetherBerry!!!

Try the Beta before you buy.

Haven't tried it, but I'd certainly check the milk before I bought the cow.

That's like "check the bacon before you buy the hog" is the saying my grandfather always said. He owned a pig farm and I spent many summers herding hogs and pushing sows.

Re: LMAO I was raised in a dairy community.

LOL Yah, but you have to kill the hog to do that. You can check a cow for mastitis, production, milk fat content, lactation period, etc. etc. without killin her. Grandpa wasn't into milk cows. Sows and cows ain't the same (unless you're at a bar). LMAO...but I get your drift. ;-)

JUST TEASIN GIRLS!!!! DON'T SHOOT ME! LOL

Hmmmmm... brings to mind some vague recollection of a joke about a pig and a hen at a bar talking about breakfast and the difference between interest and commitment... wish I could remember the rest! Wink

Here ya go Janet

Do a Google search for "pig hen breakfast interest commit" and read the Wiki and other selected results.

Thanks, Paul!

It was an offhand thought and it didn't occur to me to research it, but since you mentioned it, and since I couldn't remember for sure what I'd heard about the hen, I decided to take your suggestion...

I read a little of several entries. Some talked about the hen as "interested" or "involved" or "contributing", but in all of them, the pig was definitely "committed"! Wink

Before you tether make sure that your terms of service

on your data plan provider allows for it.

I haven't had a chance to check out this link, so I don't know if we're talking about the same thing. I got a Blackberry Storm about six months ago, and tether it with a USB cable to my laptop. The broadband access costs me an additional $15/mo., instead of the $60 for a separate aircard. I have done e-signings with it, and it's great. The beauty of the tether is that you could use it on any computer (once the program is installed on it, of course).

What little looking I did on that site it's supposed to be $45 one time charge with broadband access. They recommend you checking tether charges. It's all Greek to me, but for those that use such things it might be worth checking out.

I don't use mobile email or do esignings, but I might get there one day. Just added the link for folks to check it out, if they're so inclined.

VZ Wireless offers Tether service with Storm 30/month

I used it for the free 30 days, then dropped it. not worth the 30/moth extra already bad enough I need to pay 45/month for unlimited data service.

Re: VZ Wireless offers Tether service with Storm 30/month

VZ had better get their act together....although they have excellent coverage, their plans are much higher than other carriers, and their customer service stinks.
I am paying a fortune for cell service + data usage, but my plan is up this year, and I am going to give another company a shot.
I'm getting lots of positive responses about Nextel/Boost from local people, and their plan is unltd. for $50/month. Ultd = cell service, data, txt and walkie-talkie.
I'm learning that my BB can be "unlocked" to move to this company.
I am going to find out if the "tether" service will be included as well.

Misty...be careful with Nextel...

When we moved here I had a Nextel phone with Sprint...I NEVER had a signal...used to have to go outside and sit on the boat trailer to get a stinkin signal....I remember I once got a marketing call from Sprint on my cell phone...call dropped three times - the fourth time the guy called he said to me "does that happen all the time?" I said "YES!! And you can keep your service!!"

I now have Verizon (transfer from Alltel) - I NEVER have a signal problem...can talk in my house if necessary and I get signals when others don't (homeowners asking how I'm getting a signal at the table when they can't)....

Just my .02

Re: The truth is there is cell service performance depends..

OOOPs...

on so many factors that what works for one person may not work for another person in a different location (even next door) because of the differences between hardware and radio wave reception factors.

A great cell connection may be there right now, and not there or only marginal a few minutes later.

I know people like to say MY CARRIER has great service so be sure to switch to them, but the proof is in the individual usage results not what happens to someone else.

Most if not all carriers allow a 30 day free return policy so that you can tryout a particular hardware/carrier/locations situation before you commit for a likely two year contract.

Re: VZ Wireless offers Tether service with Storm 30/month

The $15/mo is for using the BB as a modem. They get you for every little thing. You'd think paying for the data plan would be enough. Why would they care how you use it?
