What county is it
When you have an affidavit that requires the county filled in do you use the county where you did the signing or the county where the property is located?

This is an affivadit that doesn't requre notarization, just the borrower's signature.

Your post does not show your last name
If the document does not require notarization, why does it matter what county is filled in?
Let the borrowers fill in the blank with whatever they think should go there.

Re: Your post does not show your last name
Our last name is Alboucq. We are husband and wife.
I don't see the benefit in hiding our identity. If there is one, please let me know, as it seems a lot of notaries do hide their identity.

since neither one of you has linked your profiles. I would not have asked how you could know this if you are the same person or husband, wife etc...
Just trying to give a legit answer to the question presented.

No, but you do have a county in which the Rabbit and Bunny are often cooked.

In that case, drop back 10 and punt...

If your closing is scheduled in BO home in Bunny County
but they change appt and you close at a resteraunt in Rabbit County, you would change the venue (cross through and initial yourself, not borrowers) to match the county that the notarization was performed in.

Just an observation but I've noticed that you (& the spouse) ask a lot of "Notary 101" questions. How long have you and the spouse been Notaries?

I always read this forum instead of the morning comics, the humor is at such a higher level. I never saw one source that had so many that knew everything, and walked on water. It never fails to amaze me that people forget what they say and how they say it, speaks volumes and paints a picture about those doing the talking. Funny how you can start to tell a lot about someone that way.

It's funnier when someone asks the questions after claiming
to do thousands of signings then ask the most elementary questions. Especially when those questions are asked and answered numerous times during the course of any given month.

Re: Where are your feet planted? This is Notary 101.
What they are talking about is where you are literally standing (or sitting) physically at the moment of notarizing the document. For example, the appointment might have you traveling to another county or the property in question might be located somewhere other than where the signing is taking place.
The venue for the notary block will always be your physical location at the time of signing, regardless of where you are from or where the borrower is from or where the property is located. Is that straightforward enough?

They claim more than 6000 loans in 7 years.
That's a little bit hard to believe that they have signed so many loans and don't even know what the venue is.

Sorry, I made the mistake of thinking you were trying to be friendly and wanted to know where I live. It won't happen again! There is no such thing as friendly on this board,
And guess what, you really don't have a clue as to my name.

Pat..you really need to give the people on this board
more credit for their intelligence - you've tipped your hand as to your identity on more than one occasion - AND on more than one occasion have asked basic notary questions that, for someone touting 6000 loan signings and six years experience, should never have to be asked - frankly speaking, it's frightening.
Should you dispute this...from YOUR listing here:
"Over six years experience as a mobile notary. I carry E and O insurance and am bonded. Two notaries work for our company, Louis (Buc) and Patricia (Pat). We work together as a team. "
From Buc's listing here:
"Over 6000 loans signed successfully. 7 years experience. Friendly, Professional Service. Our office is located in Lacey, WA. This is also known as Olympia and Tumwater, WA. The three cities Lacey, Olympia and Tumwater are sister cities."
From Buc's listing elsewhere:
"We have over six years experience notarizing loan documents including reverse mortgage. We are equipped to receive and print e-documents. Please contact Patricia Alboucq. We have had our criminal background checks completed. "
So please...don't insult our intelligence....and since you're probably already offended, I might as well finish my opinion, to which I'm entitled, that you're very lucky you get ANYONE to respond to your most basic notary questions....after six years in the business, if you really don't know it, you should very well know where to look or how to find out - and if you don't then IMO your profiles are falsehoods.
