signing after an out-of- state notary

I am signing behind a notary that signed in another state. I noticed that some of his notarizations were missing either a venue or date of notarization. the package is being split and going to title and lender. will his incomplete notarizations have any bearing on the loan closing? Just wondering

Probably will. Please contact your hiring entity for

guidance.

Agree that you should give hiring entity a "heads up" BUT

errors may well be "magically" corrected before recording.
I had a preprinted acknowledgement recently with everything filled in BUT with NO place for date.
Nearly missed it myself.

It all depends on the lender and whether title will insure through the oversights. If there is an oversight on the mortgage, it has to pass muster with the county recorder. Split signings are difficult because the scheduling can be so tight that there's no room for error.

DO NOT do anything to another Notary's cert. Thier work is Not for you to if it is done right or not.
Do your job right.
Any thing else is between that Notary and the lender/title/secrow.
