Child care cost me $$$$ and new clients yesterday
Had 2 signings with new clients yesterday, Babysitter one calls sick Monday afternoon and back-up was a no go too. When I called to let them know they were understanding (baby crying in background) but I know they were POed. ( I would) Ashley starts pre-school a couple of days a week.. Thank God...lol
Just bummed I lost out on some good money and most likely good clients.

Suggestion. Talk to, and establish relationships with good,
reliable NSAs in your area. You can cover for each other (upon notification to and approval by SS/TC, of course) in the event of emergencies. I had several scheduled for last week when my mother passed away. All signings were covered and I am still getting calls from the companies involved.

Do you have any drop in day care centers in your area? We have some around here to cover just such an emergency. Good luck.

Re: No drop in daycare centers around here Todays issue
My Blackberry phone is missing calls. I lost a MeyMax signing tonight because the call never came through and Voice mail did not alert me till an hour later. I called Clint and knew the job was gone, my wife called me 8 times last week and I never got them even showed her the phone. I'm starting to hate my BB Storm. Now I wonder how many calls I truley am missing now.

Have you heard of www.Care.com ? They also have a Care-on-call feature.

This may be a reach but, depending on the time of day check out your local Y and maybe even some gyms. Y's may have babysitting service or can recommend a member that has taken a course. Same with the local high school or trade school.
