Compatibility issues on MS-word mac to pc for invoices

I just had a client of mine tell me for the second time that when I use my mac at home to send over invoices in MS-word, they get a blank document. I then went to the office and prepared a new invoice using a pc and was told that invoice was blank also. Is anyone aware of an issue specifically for mac (imac with the intel chip/windows compatible) when sending ms-word docs? If not, how about a setting the client may need to tweak on their end?

Many thanks!

I use an excel template for my invoices and no one else can seem to open it. I now only send my invoices via pdf. If you don't have Adobe Professional on your computer, you can get free versions at Cutepdf.com or Primopdf.com. Solves the problem, and also makes your invoice non-alterable.
