Continual Problem - Please Identify the Company
This is a continual problem on all of the notary forums. It is not likely that anyone is psychic or has a crystal ball (I just sold my last one). If you are commenting about a company, post more than just the name, especially if the name is generic, for example America's Brightest Company. There may be several in different states and not everyone has heard about all of them in the various locations. When you fail to properly identify the company [by city and state, website, phone number, contact names, etc.] you could be setting up other Notaries to lose money.
For example: A Notary gets a call from America's Brightest Company, but for various reasons is unable to check out their track record online but remembered that they recently read posts that ABC is "fantastic" so they take a chance based on the "fantastic" comment and accept the assignment. Problem is, the ABC calling them happens to be the deadbeat one! So now that Notary just worked for free. On the flip side, there could be comments that ABC is a deadbeat. So a Notary gets a call and immediately turns down the job - because they only remember the comments about one ABC...except there's another ABSS located in a different state, and it is a 5 star company. Now the Notary just turned down the opportunity to gain a 5 star client because the poster's comments didn't identify which ABC they were referring to in their critique.
And NO, no one should have to google or do detective work to find the location of a company YOU'RE writing about. That's YOU'RE responsibility to be clear on who you are commenting on.
Bottom Line: Identify the company you write about. Example: America's Best Company, Los Angeles, CA.....If you have more info such as the phone numbers, complete address, company's website, contact person - it wouldn't hurt to include that too.
