Equity National Title
Other than North Carolina, what are states are Equity National Title requiring SA's to work through an attorney's office?

I just had one with Equity and an attorney's office was never mentioned nor has it ever been. Perhaps it is state specific.

I've been working with Equity for quite a while. This is the first I've ever heard of the attorney requirement, but VA isn't an attorney only state. Don't some transactions have to be handled through an attorney in NC? The last I knew attempts to revert NC to an attorney only state had failed. I would call Equity directly and speak with them about it.

I was told by an Equity employee that this is the mandate they are presently under regarding NC.

Do quite a few for Equity in North Dakota and Minnesota....
never an atty's office involved in either state.
Sounds like it may be state specific.

That is a state requirement not an Equity requirement.
