Fidelity National Legal Service

Anybody ever do any work for them? They are a loan modification service.

Use the orange search button and do a search here..

many have heard of them....don't think many, if any, have worked for them.....you'll see why.

And when you're finished there, go to the GMN Board for ...

lots of first-hand accounts ... on both sides ... posted there. Also do an Orange Button search on East Coast Management and 21st Century.

What is the GMN Board? I've seen a reference to this before.

I've PM'd you, Marilynn. Apparently I'm not allowed to use their full name on this board.

You don't need the link to P/M, John. If you click on their post, there is a "Private Reply" box in red.

they are using another new name

I made the mistake as well and did one before i knew how wrong it was, i am still trying to collect from 7/30, which is not that awfully bad, but i'm afraid i won't get paid, so i called the number on the email i had and of course it had been changed, so i call today and they answered Transitional ....something, i asked her if they changed their name again and she said no, that is their holding company name. and still no one will call me back!

Apparently they are the same as 21st Century Legal Services which have a very bad rating. I personally would not accept it. I actually am not doing any modification applications where I have to collect money from the borrower. I just personally do not want to be involved with these transactions.

RE: Loan Modification Applications

I did one, ONCE ... post-dated checks and all, long before the word got out. I really felt terrible afterwards for those poor people ... desparate do do anything to save their very modest home ... and me later finding out what would be in store for them. As a matter of fact, I still feel badly ... even after all these months! Frown

Re: RE: Loan Modification Applications

You didn't know & now you know better. That's all you can do. What disturbs me most is that there are MANY unaware notaries out there who don't participate in the forums. They have no idea of the consequences on these scams.

Some of these companies are having the borrower sign to authorize the fee be taken from their credit card so you won't be picking up post dated checks. When you're asking questions and you're told you won't have to pick up any checks, ask about the authorization for credit cards. I've found these people will only answer your specific questions and not offer any more info then is necessary. Or, they just plain lie to you and tell you it's a modification not an application for modification or "retainer".
