Sent that link to my daughter. It'd be nice if they had it split up to men's and women's glasses. If I had a prescription (and I need one) I would give this a try.
I actually went to the eye doctor about 5 or so years ago and got some prescription glasses. I hated them. Couldn't read but a line or two at a time with them, and I'm used to reading by the paragraph. They tried to adjust them, but it didn't work. Blew about $500, and threw them away. Just been using Walgreen's specials ever since. I need to try it again one day and maybe I'll have better luck. I sure as heck can't read without glasses anymore. I buy those 200% magnification reading glasses, and they work pretty well so far. At least I can see with them. LOL
I'd be interested to know how this turns out if anyone buys these.
Thanks for the link!

I like the hometown experience. Yesterday, after a signing
in Newport, I remembered to take my Rx to Freddies' vision store - Optical Shoppe - where last month I popped inafter a signing to actually ~try on~ the specks. Chatting with the several of we tryer-oners, a gal handed me a blue/clear plastic pair and said, here, like this? Fabulous call, and search ended. So I saved for a month, and now only have to wait a week or so, and yahoo - new and improved specks.
I'm anxious to see the difference with the anti-glare imbued in the lens, and for a larger progressive range. And a solid nose piece. And no wires. Oh joy.
The best thing, was when the doc walked out of his little office, right next to my chair, and stopped. Putting out his hand, I shook, and said, "Hey - I know you...." I said, "Ever need a notary?" "Ha! You came to my house! That was so nice." He answered a couple of quick questions, and was done for the day. Happy guy. Whe whole shoppe was a happy place.
My motto is "Your Borrowers Are My Neighbors," so, I like to shop locally when I can. Don't get me wrong, I do my share of online buying - I really hate to shop. But I digress.
New specks just have to be a good thing all the way around for we, the visually challenged. Driving specks next.
