HP 1320 issue

The empty paper tray indicator keeps flashing even though the trays are full. I tried shutting the printer off and on. Didn't work. Any ideas? It only starts to flash when I try to print.

I don't have the 1320, but I do have an HP. Last time I had a problem I wound up having to unplug it from the wall to make it reset itself. For some reason, just turning it off didn't clear out the conflict. Once I plugged it back in and turned it on the conflict was resolved. Give it a try. I hope it works for you.

I unplugged it from the back of the printer too. It didn't work. Due to my artificial knees, I can't get down and unplug it from the wall.

I have the same printer, open the door for the ink cartridge and remove it and give a shake, reinsert it will make a small noise and the lights will go out. Works for mine every time

It wasn't the toner light.

I do that too for the toner. This was for the paper trays.

Re: HP 1320 issue - Cold Reset

Ultimately, I did a cold reset as described on the HP website. That works!
