Inspection
Hi. I had a call today to do an inspection of a house for National Creditors. Pay is very low but I thought I would do it once and see what is all about anyway. Any insight?

The best person to ask this question is no longer part of
the NotRot community, it was Becca, but if you use the orange search key and put in her name you should be able to view some of her previous responses to simular questions like yours.

If National Creditors is the same company as NCCI
then I encourage you to search for posts on this subject. If it is NCCI I know someone who completes inspections for them currently and hasn't had any trouble.

Linked for your reference...also, do a search here
as many threads may not be linked to SC....lots of posts about them...especially read Msg #301236....apparently they are dipping their toes in the mortgage modification application pool...
Hope this helps.

I have completed several inspections for NCCI. The most that they paid was $30.00 and that was for an inspection about 18 miles from my home. They tried to pay $20.00 for one that was only 5 miles from ymy home." Each inspection requires that you download the inspection forms, go to the inspection site, perform the inspection, and take pictures with your digital camera. Then you have to go to your office, log in to their website and log the inspection and upload the pictures. For me, the total time for each inspection averaged about 3 hours. I finally told them I couldn't do them for less than $50.00 and they stopped calling me. By the way, I charge $50.00 for local notarizations which usually take one hour or less total time. Erwin

Re: NCCI
Yes, Erwin, three hours start-to-finish is just about right. My profile lists my minimum fee as $50; I have received work from them for that fee from time-to-time when a nearby assignment fills a mid-day gap or is back-to-back after a "regular" loan signing assignment.
