Pacific Document Services

It has been since May that Pacific Document Service's check had bounced and I am still looking for payment and returned check fees since there were 2 checks that bounced.

First, Paul Gambs said he sent out a cashiers check out immediately after I wrote him about it, nothing came in. Then he asked for my bank account # and said he would deposit money into my account...nothing has been deposited. Then of course, the excuse is that he is waiting for a substantial wire from a company that owes him. I have worked in real estate co.'s, escrow and mortgage and we NEVER held on to money for this long. In the meantime, we have all seem an increase in business, therefore, he should have extra money to pay me. I was loyal to him and made a HUGE mistake in trusting him. I sometimes give people the benefit of the doubt, never again!!! DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING THIS MAN TELLS YOU, IT IS ALL A LIE. Not a dime has been paid to me in good faith and I am going to pursue this further this week, he says I am wasting my time but I am not going to sit in the sidelines and do nothing about it. I worked hard for the money and should've cancelled his appts when other calls came in for the same appt time. SHAME ON ME! I learned a hard lesson.

Just curious if anyone else is still looking for payment out there.

Yes, I agree....

but I haven't seen much activity on the boards recently. Just curious if notaries are getting paid finally.

Once again...

He might pay you now that you have posted it on a public forum. But he will also leave himself positive reviews on Signing Central to boost his rating so that other people will work for him. The guy is just wrong for doing this repeatedly... Best of luck to you... Of course I risk being contacted by this deadbeat again for agreeing because... (pick your excuse for NSF check he wrote and place it here.) Nobody should work for a company or person that makes the same "mistake" over and over. Nobody should work for a company that shorts notary payments over and over. Nobody should work for a company that bounces check after check after check. Geez. Why would you trust him?

Funny thing is.....

He rates his company with 5 stars, which doesn't help him one bit as it appears as though you can only rate a company once.Once you enter new comments, the old ones are gone.Sorry Paul, that won't work...You really only deserve 1/2 a star, if any.

It's a shame you trusted him, and are having problems getting paid.
I made the same mistake myself, this is just part of his M.O.

He's probably found someone else in your area he's using now. He'll run up the tab, start paying later and later, and then start bouncing checks. Then he'll give them the old " I've been in business for 17 years" crap..My wire was late, my dog died....whatever works... and next month we'll see their post.....

Re: Once again...

I also haven't been paid for a signing in July. Paul sent me a check in Sept. but it bounced. Now, not only am I out the signing fee but now I have to pay $25 bounced check fee to the bank!

I emailed him this morning for a couple of signings he owed me since May and June, well the check for May was returned by the bank unpaid "NSF", he replied to me saying that he will pay me thru paypal, and I send him the total amount plus bank fees. Guess what? he paid me right away. You should contact him and ask him to get paid thru Paypal. I was paid in full.

I don't understand how he gets away with this. Bouncing a check is illegal in most jurisdictions, especially if you do it on a regular basis - and there is documented evidence right here on NotRot that this is the way he does business.

Complaints shouldn't be made here - they should be made to the local authorities and the state AG as well. What he is doing is ILLEGAL, and it's a prosecutable offense in most jurisdictions - what is it about this that you folks aren't getting??? Notaries keep coming here complaining about him bouncing checks, and not one person to date (as far as I know) has even asked the authorities to investigate what he's doing.

Hello?? What is the matter with you people???? Stop complaining and start doing something about it...

Question for Paul

I've never had the pleasure of working with this fella but I have a friend in TX who has closed loans for him. Same old story. The first time around he was just great when he paid send a replacement check plus nsf fees to cover the first one that bounced. In addition to the subsequent nsf fees my friend incurred when her account became overdrawn. Then it happened again, and again...

Here's a suggestion Paul, pay your notaries first then pay yourself.

Here's my question: How much more money have you forked out in NSF fees to the notaries in the past 6 months?

Haven't had the dubious 'pleasure' of working with him...but did you really give him your bank account #? PayPal, ok, but just wondering...

Pamela...

I think you have never used paypal before. When you use pay pal your info is strictly confidential. All you need is their email address and of course they have to have a pay pal account and same with you, you also have to have a paypal account.

Yes I did give him my account #. He has since contacted me and has deposited some money into my bank account, he says the rest will be deposited tomorrow, we will see about that.

I have had many dealings with Paul both good and bad. He is bouncing checks and then making good on them. I was owed since back in March and he finally paid for March and April. He now still owes me for May and June about 800.00 total and I have not been working for him since. I will continue to ask for the payment and start legal action against him if he does not make good on all outstanding invoices for me! Smile
