Power of Attorney

I have a signing today for a man with Alzheimer's. His wife has power of attorney. How do I confirm that? Do I just have her sign for everything and list her name on the document as well?

TC will approve the POA, the TC should tell you how they would like it signed. Jane Doe attorney in fact for John Doe.. You may also need to collect the original POA with the loan docs.

Exactly, it's not your call to make. The lender has to approved to use of a POA, and they usually have the original in advance or ask you to collect it.
As a tip, I usually make a "cheat sheet" for the signer with how it needs to be signed and initialled. Ex.: John Doe by Jane Doe, as attorney in fact. JD by JD, aif
It's usually printed as needed on all the docs. Any questions, call the tc.
