Problems with Yahoo Mail
I use a Yahoo account for my business email. I use Trend Micro PC-cillan and beginning yesterday I can no longer open attachments becuase I receive a security warning. When I clicked on how to stop getting the warnings, I received the following message:
Suspicious Web Site Warning What caused this warning? This warning opened because your Web Site Filter noticed that you have tried to open a potentially threatous Web site, or that the Web site you have tried to open has attempted to redirect to you to a potentially dangerous Web site.
What to do now Heed the warning and close this Web site immediately and never open it again. Opening the Web site, clicking links on the page, or downloading software could expose your computer to spyware. You also run the risk of falling victim to a phishing or pharming scam.
How to disable this warning Open the main console, and click Internet & Email Controls.
Under Web Site Access Controls, click Settings…
You can also add the Web site causing the warning to the list on the Approved Web Sites tab, or remove the Web site from the list on the Blocked Web Sites tab, if it appears there.
What should I do?

I forgot to say...
...that even when I try to open an attachment that I previously opened, I cannot do so.

Re: I forgot to say...
I use Yahoo and have never had that problem (knock on wood). Have you run the virus scanner to see if you picked up anything? Also, at the top of the Yahoo page, there is a Help button where you can send feedback. Maybe their customer service can help.

...if I forward the Yahoo email to my personal Roadrunner account, I can print the attachments, so it is a Yahoo problem. Any suggestions on what to do?

Lynn - you just gave yourself a solution, however temp. that
may be. But it is a work-around at least.
ATT just changed to Yahoo as provider for email. After all I see here about Yahoo being down, locking people out and so on, I am working on getting something else. Then again, what to do about all my printed materials and online addresses, etc. What a PITA.

Lynn, I would suggest a gmail account. They are free, they are fast and they are reliable.
If you are paying for the yahoo address it can be forwarded from yahoo address to gmail, meaning any email recd. by your yahoo account could also show up in your gmail account, which would mean you could keep your yahoo address...only works for paid yahoo accounts though.

Doesn't roadrunner let you have 7 or 8 email accounts? Set up your business account through them. I have my own domain, and email from that domain which costs me about $100 a year. I also have a backup gmail account.
Is it the Yahoo website that your virus software is having an issue with? If so, try updating the software and see if that helps. Or go to the softwares website and see if there is a fix for a bug that it might have.
