Richmond Title in Texas

Perhaps this should go in SC and not on the forum, but , here goes: On Friday I had a Reverse for this company that the borrowers did not sign due to discrepancies in the $$$ they were told and what appeared on the HUD. I spent 45 minutes them and they called LO twice. Immediately leaving the BO I telephoned R.T. They said that I would be paid in full (great so far). On Monday the BO called me and asked I had heard when this would be rescheduled. I said , No, but as soon as I do I will call you. About an hour later R.T. calls and reassigns this closing with me. I telephone and reconfirm with the BO. Later that day, I realize that I have not gotten a new confirmation from R.T.
I email them and the response is that it has been assigned to another notary!! Then Frank from R.T. telephones me and says that my fee was too high and they gave it to another notary! I quoted them the same fee that I asked for (and was given) on Friday - but on Monday it is too high??!!
My fee for this reverse was below market scale but still not low enough for them! When I called the management, and said that I thought thier behavior was extremely unprofessional, I was told that another manager would telephone me today. An, of course, this has not happened.
So, all day I have told myself to just forget the whole thing. Then about 15 minutes ago, the BO calls me to ask if the signing could be moved up a couple of hours. I had to tell him that I was no longer doing their signing, that R.T. had contracted another notary. He said he was very disappointed. Me too; they were a nice couple. Thanks for listening.

I had the same experience with them years ago

and I was shocked that they'd do that. I think they lined up two or three notaries in order to cover a large time frame but was not honest about it (at that time) with us. The notary called while I was doing the signing appt.

I was scheduled and cancelled a few times after that and then stopped taking their offers. It jammed up my schedule at EOM. Just wrong.

On Friday, they were desperate. Not so on Monday~~ Next time politely suggest to the B that they may 'ask for you' Wink Still, yes, you are right--very unprofessional. Snarky, even.

Your experience further confirms to me that we're not even in the same league. BTW, aren't these the same people who used to pay $150 for e-dox not so long ago ... now $75?!?!

Yes, they used to be a great co. to work with. It seems they've gone the way of the low-ball, pit notary against notary, sleezy ss route. I swear these tactics have been learned on E-bay.
Unfortunately, it goes with Capitalism & the free-enterprise system.
