Huh??
Negotiations of price and performance are best handled on a one-to-one, personal level, imo.

Re: Huh??
I'm in complete agreement! But, once the offer/request was open to the "Forum" it not personal anymore. The calling process does work even if you have to put forth extra effort. Maybe I missed the "forum edicate" class, if it existed. I wonder if the SS was told the same thing?? Hmmmm

Re: Huh??
She said she made 25 calls - no responses so she put out a call here (I'd guess she was running out of time) - all she put forth here was a question of availability - knowing OP, as a professional she'll discuss fees with the person who's available for her.
It's got nothing to do with "forum etiquette" but a lot to do with professional business sense. I know I would not discuss or negotiate fees on an open forum. "Yes I'm available, call me (or I'll call you) with details" would be it.

I suspect your attitude about this would be a small minority. I have to agree with the others - a matter of professionalism and just plain common sense, in my opinion.

Re: Huh??
Such ineffectual communication for a former communications manager - what did you do? Run a cell phone kiosk in a seldom used mall?

Re: Huh??
Not very nice but, it's your opinion I'm not looking for acceptance. To a hammer, everything looks like a nail. ...however I can refer you to what other opinionated notaries think. read this thread
