desperate calls

I have a LTP in my area that is covering the shore for $100 edocs. She has a bad habit of canceling at the last minute. I have received calls at 4pm for a 5pm. The bad thing is it could take me an hour drive one way and my fee is double. Has anyone else seen this?

"...She has a bad habit of canceling at the last minute. "

Or, possibly her clients have a bad habit of not having documents ready by the appointment time? I've had a client say, within 1/2 hour of the appointment time, that docs had not even been started on and they had no idea when they would be ready, and then when I gave the assignment back, the scheduling folks immediately called and tried to reassign it to me for "as soon as possible" - even though I know the docs weren't remotely close to being ready.
