FYI also it's that magical "Chase your check time"
Fellow notaries don't forget to pull your invoices, have some Mallox and start calling your "problem children."
Have a great weekend all

I called on one of my invoices yesterday..They apologized and said they just forgot to pay me. This company has a 5 star rating! Check to be in the mail today!

LIKE I said in the wrong thread....
I have a lousy $50 out from a law firm. Sometimes I hate working for law firms - they take FOREVER to pay - you'd think a lousy $50 would have been paid within a week for pete's sake but noooo....gotta call and ask "what's up?" - and no it wasn't a loan signing - affidavit only....sometimes I think those invoice words "net 30 days" are taken too literally!!...LOL

Linda....Why don't you change payment terms to suit...
your clients? Lawyers have funds that they can use to pay for litigation expenses. I would think a net 15 days or even better, due on demand would be appropriate. Just a thought.

Re: Linda....Why don't you change payment terms ...John
I could I suppose - but I just left it at net 30 figuring they'd probably pay sooner anyway ... never seems to happen that way for me though.

I bet if you told them you were going to file a complaint agaiinst them with the state bar association, you would get your money really, really fast!

Re: LIKE I said in the wrong thread....
You're probably right - but I'd prefer not to burn bridges if I don't have to...I'm sure I'll get paid...it's just surprising that you have to fight for it from a law firm.
