Does 4Notary 4 Notary - Rich Kim owe you $$ ?
Rich Kim (Full name: Richard Hoon Kim) owes me almost $3500.00.
I have one of the best lawyers in Seattle (I live in Seattle) and he has indicated to me there is a very solid case for class action against him, though I need other notaries to join me in order to equal a certain sum of money. I'm not saying what it is on this forum as I do not want Mr. Rich Kim to know the amount. I have a list started already and believe if I can get about 20 to 30 more notaries, that should be enough. I've also gathered a bit of information on him.
My email is [e-mail address] . Please email me with your contact information and how much he owes you. If you're uncomfortable with email, I will email my phone# to you. I'm looking forward to working with other notaries on this. It is very likely he used $$ owed to notaries to invest in his new brokerage business. Please join me and lets stand up to this guy and get the money we are owed. I'm prepared to make an example out of him.

Re: He's in WA, you're in WA.,why aren't you in court?
I have a lawyer, one of the best in Seattle, so when he talks I listen. His law firm has lawyers which specialize in different types of law so he was able to pull from additional resources and give me some choices. I am very aware my legal options which he has layed out for me. This option is not only helps me get paid, but other notaries as well.
If 4Notary owes you, please email me at [e-mail address] with your contact information, any questions and how much 4Notary owes you. I'm glad to call or email you or send my contact number.
Please reply to this post only if you are owed by 4 Notary or have helpful information about 4 Notary. Thanks for the input

its not hard to find people who are owed money
In seeking class action status, most law firms will run ads, set up websites, subpeona the SS or TC for access to their database of notaries and send all the notaries questionnaires or surveys with invites to join the lawsuit. No heavy lifting on your part. Hope you are able to collect though, that's alot of money!

How/Why in the world would you let them get this far
behind in paying? Why did you keep accepting assignments when you hadn't been paid for the previous ones? and, how long of a period is this? With any new company to me, I only do so many, say 3 or 4. If I am paid for those timely then I accept more and build from there. $3500 has to be somewhere around 20-25 signings. That's way too many to extend them credit for. I wish you the best of luck, and hopefully you will never let this happen again and take a serious look at how you do business and who you extend credit to and for how long. Sorry for sounding harsh, but this is hard for me to understand.

Seriously? I agree with Linda...why did you continue to
work for these obvious dead beats when they owed you so much money?
Did they promise you bulk work for a discount rate or something similiar?
Just curious as to your thought process in continuing to accept gigs from this company...were they your only reliable source for work?

Re: Seriously? I agree with Linda...why did you continue to
Okay, I'm responding to all that are asking my "why" questions. Why did I let it get this far? - I fell behind in my past dues because of family health problems. I did quite a few signings for 4Notary in a short period of time. I received a check for 4 signings then nothing. Rich Kim communicated with me up until the beginning of March, giving me payment schedules to pay money owed. Since then I've been speaking to my lawyer and gathering information.
Do I have only a few companies to work for? No, I've been doing this for 7 years and have quite a few companies I work for. I simply fell behind on past dues, due to caring for ill family member -who does not live close to me- while balancing everything else.
About "class action" this is not exactly a class action, but it is a legal action which requires a certain amount of money collectively owed before you can take legal action. Yes, I am fully aware of my Small Claims Court option, which I will use if necessary.
For all those asking the "why" questions: I understand your curiosity and concern. I'm taking care of this issue and paying for it with stress and additional time from my schedule. Life happens and sometimes family has to come first. If you have helpful advice or information I'm open to reading it.

He owes me for one signing. I have had problems in the past with him being late on signings and stopped signing for about 6 months for Rich. He managed to get caught up and then after a few months called again. I asked him if he had resolved his financial issues and he said 'yes". He is a liar and there should be a law against Notary abuse of this kind! I will email you my specifics and help in anyway I can.

Rich Kim owes me as well around $5000( I need to calculate the exact amount). I am interested in joining other notaries in the law suit against him. Please let me know how I can do this and what our chances are (collicting on judgment, when we get it)?
