NREIS

They are not paying our invoices again. Has the majority of notaries stopped taking their signings???

I set a credit limit (that IS what we are doing with every assignment we accept--granting credit, generally based upon nothing more than their NR rating) for every company. Some are better than others, obviously. NREIS currently has a very low credit limit with me which can improve as I see their payments become more timely than they have been the last 6 months.

I learned a cheap lesson (only 1 signing) when EFS went pffft: Even the best of 'em can go bellyup in a heartbeat! However, it's my business to limit my exposure to what I feel I can afford to take a loss on. That's something that you alone determine. IMO...keep it low, keep 'em close, don't allow any co. to pile 'em on and then not pay. They, like us, EARN a good credit rating.

They are paying...its just slow. I'm receiving checks from them about 45 to 60 days out. They have always paid, I'm still taking work from them, just plan accordingly

Re: NREIS seems to be making up ground

I have been paid in full (for a while) and I see others seem to be getting paid as well. NREIS has been in the past one of the good ones, only recently with the slow pays, but it seem that they may be getting back on track.

If the business is there, I will accept new orders from them as I think (and hope) they are headed back to the NREIS of old.

Everyone that has worked for them should update SC so most recent status (favorable or unfavorable) is shown for everyone to see. JMO This board has been on top of the slow pay issue with them and if they are truly working towards getting back to the way they were, IMO the least we should do is be fair to them and give the most accurate picture of our current business relationship with them (again both positive and any negative). Just a thought

Well.. here's my 2 cents worth. If you are willing to wait 60 - 90+ days for your money, after the loan closes and funds... then you would be FOR this company. HOWEVER, if you like to be paid 7 - 45 days after closing, you would DEFINITELY BE AGAINST NREIS! I think it's just that simple. Btw... they are NOT paying in 45 days time.

I have contacted them many times and no response. Finally, I received the name of Geri Csonka and have emailed her at [e-mail address] to find out when I will be paid. Have not heard from her yet but if NREIS is in financial difficulty, I would hope that they would be courteous enough to the signers to just let us know. I will no longer take any signings from them until paid in full. If you want to wait 3 months or more to be paid, then you can have my signing appointments:)

I've stopped taking signings from them. I do the signing in a timely manner and I request that I get paid in a timely manner.

I am still owed by NREIS for 2 signings in March and 2 in April. I have spoken to Jason in accounts payable numerous times and he just says they haven't been paid by Bank of America so he can't tell me when I will be paid. Now when I call I just get his voice mail and he never returns my calls. I made the mistake of taking another signing from them in the beginning of May. I have worked for them for over 6 years but will never work for them again.
