Need Your Input

When you are completing the Certification to certify the borrowers identification and the drivers license has the borrowers middle name but it's not printed on any docs, what are you doing? Is this okay because the drivers license has more and this is what they are looking for or are they asking that you "actually" match this up exactly in which case I should give them a call?

I usually put whatever is on their ID on that form. I don't think anyone expects that the name on the docs will always match their ID perfectly. What we are all looking for when identifying someone is that the ID supports the fact that the name, as vested and as typed on the documents, belongs to the same person who is personally appearing before you and is presenting the ID.

In this case, I would always make sure both names are on the aka aff or add it in.

You make sure that you pull from the docs the "Signature Affidavit" form and have him add
by printing the name on his drivers license and signing it as well the way it appears in his
D.L.
