For me, I entered because it fits in nicely with my other type of work (I'm a real estate agent, currently inactive, and a mortgage field inspector). I figured this is something I can do as the field inspecting business slows down, to supplement.
I like jobs that I can work from home (which more often than not means work from my car) and can keep me busy, but that I self direct, at least in some aspects.
I learned about it years ago when I refi'ed my house and had a signing agent come out. Then in February we again refi'ed and the SA said she was super busy. Don't know if that's true as of now, but I think I'll be good at it.

Good Luck, the person that came to your home probably had some years of marketing ahead of you. It takes a lot of work getting your foot in the door these days.
