WA Notaries--looking for a manual recommendation
I used to work as a lobbyist, so while not a lawyer, am fairly savvy at reading the state codes, but I would really, really love to have something a little more user friendly than the binder-clipped WAC and RCW in my bag for when I'm stumped. What's your favorite WA Notary Manual?
I've heard bad things about the NNA's manual, so I haven't purchased it. I'm seriously shopping for a state handbook and would love your input. Thanks in advance, Jessica

I am not sure there is a state handbook. Maybe you could just print out the Revised Code of Washington Chapter 42.44 “Notaries Public"
The ASN more than likely has a Washington notary handbook, and I would trust them over the NNA.
Hopefully Washington notaries can be a little more helpful.

Thanks Sylvia, I do use the RCW and WAC, but as I mentioned in my earlier post, they can be cumbersome. I will look into the ASN, I've never used them for anything.

I never have been able to find a Washington state manual, only the code. (A PDF copy of the RCW 42.44 is available for download from my site, if you wish. http://www.pawnotary.com/download/Manuals_and_Handbooks/WA%20Notary%20Statute%20(Chapter%2042.44%20RCW).pdf)

Thanks PAW--the WAC (rules implementing the code) is more specific. I carry both in my bag already. Thanks very much for the link though, I appreciate it. shall bookmark it on my blackberry just in case I'm ever without my hard copy.
