Why?

You're a notary - your only function is to identify the signer, determine to the best of your ability that they are signing of their own free will, and then notarize their signature on the document. It's not your job to know what the laws are regarding a POA, unless you're just asking out of curiosity.

As has been said here many times - notarize, don't analyze.
