AT HOME SIGNINGS
How do we get the rating changed on Signing Central. AT HOME SIGNINGS owes for a signing from last April but still has a four star rating on signing centra.

It is cumulative. As we've seen, many previously good companies have been not-so-good recently. You simply can't just count the stars; you need to read the comments to see the current trend or direction a company is headed.

Owe me from March. I've called and called and Bea is a nice as she can be, but can't write the checks. I've been in contact with Title but it hasn't helped in getting paid.

The next step is to contact the State Department of Insurance (some states call it the Insurance Commissioner). The docs belong to the TC, not the SS. It IS the TC's problem that their middleman didn't pay the Notary. TCs need to be held accountable for turning a blind eye to middleman they contract with who are unjustly enriched at the Notary's expense.
I would write a letter to the Dept. of Insurance AND the Attorney General - dated 5 days forward, then fax both letters to the TC. I would absolutely follow through if no response.

Just call the lender or the borrower, works every time and your check will be in the mail in a few days.

Wow...they've got bad ratings all the way back to
March, 2009!! Too bad you didn't see this in advance.
I've linked this thread for reference.

Re: Wow...they've got bad ratings all the way back to
Linda, I worked for them 1 other time with no problems. Took about 45 days. Never anticipated this because I worked for them before. I know I should have checked again before I took it. My bad.

Pat - I notice you haven't rated them yet (or at least no one from WA has). Rate them now - work on getting that rating lowered. Complaining won't do it by itself.
And link all your posts - don't wait for someone else to do it. Do it yourself to warn others.
See Msg #350025 which I wrote yesterday about these things. It takes us all to do these things, not just a few.

And another thing that will work to lower ratings:
If you have rated someone well in the past and now they are pulling slopping activities, go in to SC and edit your comments. That will take away those good ratings and replace with up-to-date info which benefits us all.

Mine is from Feb. I did a lot for them when I got started yrs ago. Will rate them. This was "Deed in lieu of foreclosure" for Clayton Homes/Vanderbuilt Mortgage Maryville TN. I have just got thru to A/P at Vanderbuilt. I'll wait and see.

I did a closing for this company on 11/24/09. Got paid 03/02/10. Did another closing on 04/09/10. Still have not been paid. I have called, faxed, mailed statements, added finance charges. Nothing seems to bother them about stealing our fees. I will never do another closing for this company.

Gave up calling and re-invoicing for a closing done in Feb. Sent them a Christmas card with another invoice (270 days overdue) saying it's too bad we can't do business together, you seemed like a nice company to work with. (Sigh).

Well, the Christmas card came back as undeliverable. Surprise!
