Any Hughesnet customers?
I've had Hughesnet for my internet service for over a year now. Just recently it started being real slow and losing the webpage. The first time I called tech service the dude just kept putting me on hold and the second time (sounded like the same dude from India) I was told I needed a service call so they could realign my dish. -$125.00- I haven't had anyone out yet because I'm just not so sure they know what they're doing. The problem is intermittent, if the satelite was out of whack, don't you think it would always be out?? Your thoughts?

We had a problem about a month ago
We lost our service altogether and we initially thought it was the modem - called HughesNet to report and were told oh no, we lost a satellite - this was about 11am - should be back up in a few hours
7pm my husband calls them again and says what's the story - they say they've been restored for several hours, runs him through some tests, serious problem and, yes, we need a tech - dish need to be re-pointed. $125...
We schedule - the guy comes out - and my husband decides hey...somethings wrong with this picture -so he called HughesNet, told them our problem was due to THEM losing a satellite and why do WE have to pay $125 to fix THEIR problem...fee was waived.
Gotta watch these guys every step of the way..
