Any info about QuickClosings 123? G/B/U?

They hung up on me!
If this is the SS in Port something or another in Florida, they called me today with a loooow fee (and I am not known for excessive fees by any means!), and when I told her my (modest) fee she said she'd take me out of their database. (I didn't even know I was in their database - I had never heard from them before). So I replied thank you very much for calling anyway and I appreciate it despite the fee difference and have a nice day. But I was talking to thin air. She had long ago disconnected and moved on. Yikes! I've read here many times about SSs hanging up on notaries and was always pretty shocked by that but up until today it had never happened to me. I'm always extra nice to these people cos I also read here once that you never know when they'll be working for a better SS one day and will remember you. I don't necessarily believe that... but then there's no point getting your knickers all in a twist over a fee issue like that....

Now see, Goldgirl, instead of sitting and posting this, you could have made another $80, maybe $90. But hey, what's a looooow fee to you $50 for e-doc, or $100? Modest fees? -such as what? You're blocked, no one knows the area you cover, is it rude to disclose your fees? Signing Services and Title companies, all they are doing is price shopping, we all do that. Do you purchase the expensive pair of jeans at Nordstroms, or do you get the same pair of jeans at Macy's on sale? I would get mine at Macy's, so please don't get mad at others for price shopping!! That's all it is.

Re: "don't get mad at others for price shopping"
I didn't detect a bit of anger in her post. Not her style, if you've been around this board for any length of time. And, why do you care where she buys her jeans? I doubt if even a few care where you get yours.

"Now see, Goldgirl, instead of sitting and posting this, you could have made another $80, maybe $90"....kinda snarky and unnecessary, don'tcha think? I do...
And I think the message delivered to you by others, which you don't seem to get, is by doing signings for $80-$90 you haven't MADE $80-$90 - you need to deduct the cost of doing that assignment - *ALL* costs of doing that assignment - once you do that, how much have you really MADE (your net profit)...guaranteed your net profit is not $80-$90...

Another gem of wisdom….I suppose you're texting on your blackberry driving to do a quick, no-questions-answered, just-a-notary, fast $40 signing?

Had the exact same experience, it was even today!
I have never heard of this company before, but a woman called and asked if I was available for a closing. I answered yes, and she jumped in with the fee they can pay because it was Stewart Title. I told her what my fee would be (I am always polite), and in a flash she hung up after she barely got out the words "Ill take you out of our databa..." I tried to say thanks for calling me, but she was long gone. Interestingly enough I have worked directly for Stewart Title and not for the fee they were offering. It is strange, and, in my opinion, unprofessional to hang up on people.
