Beware National Notary Ink, CO
Seems to have stopped paying their notaries very recently. Don't answer e-mails, phone calls. Tanya Shunia is the principal and they are in the 303 area code.

I did one for her three weeks ago based on the positive reviews here. Then the no-pay reports started showing up. UGH!!! If she doesn't want her title company client to get complaints, then she had better start paying her notaries...
Thanks for the heads-up!

I did a job for her in May and after the 30 days past and I heard nothing from her (and no check arrived in the mail), I started e-mailing and calling. After a week or so of no responses, I called the Title Co and, what do you know, I got an e-mail back that my check would be in the mail that day. It arrived and cleared in less then a week. But why do we have to do that? Why should we have to go to title to make sure we get paid? If a company says they pay in 30, why do we have to go chasing our money down? I guess I am asking the choir this retorical question since everyone else would like to know.

Re: It's too bad, Tania used to be really good. The last
one I did for her in March 7, got paid May 22 she added $10 for "my patience". I didn't ask for it either.

Never ever had a problem!!
I have worked with Tania and her husband for a very long time. Don't have too many signings for them the past couple of years since AZ went into the sewer the way it did in 2007 but never had a problem with payment from them. Always great to work with.

But you say that was 2 years ago - evidently this is new
problem. Prior to this year no one was complaining - I think people want recent information, not old stuff.

I said I haven't had much work the past 2 years but
that didn't mean I haven't had any work. I have had recent work with Notary Ink and have had no payment problems.

Then I stand corrected. But you see how it can be
misleading when it isn't presented that way.
The best thing about the English language? It's precision. Not picking on you, GZ, just hoping for clarity for all especially in these uncertain times. I want everyone to report accurately for these days, not the not-so-recent past that has all the ratings in SC somewhat skewed.
Another thought: for those who have rated a company in the past saying how wonderful they were and now that company is showing less than stellar behavior, one can change one's own reviews thereby updating the information contained.
For example: NREIS. If everyone would update them now from their previous assessment, they would lose some stars. You can edit/update your own comments. The original date of the first comment will stand, but the stars and comments will change. IF everyone did this with companies they have rated in the past that have sunk to new lows, a more accurate representation would occur.
I'm on a mission and hope others will join the ratings changes to have more accuracy. Also, linking is the most important - everyone needs to link their posts.
Another thing I have noticed lately: in the subject line people are putting GBU and forcing the opening of the message to find out the company mentioned. Keep the company name in the subject line....faster linking and probably getting comments faster also.

Correction to previous post
"The original date of the first comment will stand, but the stars and comments will change. "
I just checked on the 2 I changed - the new date is there.

When I re-rate a company, the date changes to the current date for me. I agree that everyone needs to continually rate companies with current info. I wish that SC allowed a few more characters on the review - I often don't have enough room to say everything I want to say.
